Dear Parents/Guardians 

You are invited to attend a SATs and curriculum evening on Wednesday 25^th March. Class teachers will make a presentation at 3:30pm which will be repeated at 4:30pm – 5pm. Please be aware you do not need to stay for the duration of the evening, just drop-in to whichever of the sessions is most convenient to you.

 The meeting aims to give you an insight into the Year 6 curriculum, in addition to details about this year’s Key Stage 2 exams. These presentations will take place in a Year 6 classroom. Class teachers will be available between these times should you have any queries. Children are also welcome to attend the meeting. 

As you may already be aware, Year 6 SATs exams (Standard Attainment Tests) will be carried out during the week commencing Monday 11^th May 2020. To fully prepare you and your child for the experience of SATs, we aim to provide an overview of the exam week and the individual tests. 

The presentation will be an opportunity for you to deepen your understanding of the expectations of the Year 6 curriculum. We will share resources, methods and strategies used in school to support your child’s learning and progress. 

We hope you will be able to attend, to enable you to further support your child with the challenges of the Year 6 curriculum.
