School Self Evaluation
What is the a School Evaluation Form (SEF)
Haydonleigh Governors and Staff regularly evaluate the school’s effectiveness in order identify areas for further development. The school’s performance is constantly reviewed by both internal and external reviews. Parent and pupil feedback has also been central in Haydonleigh’s self-evaluation.
Staff and Governors write the Self-Evaluation Form SEF to summarise what has worked well and what would be even better.
The SEF looks at all the same areas identified in an Ofsted Inspection:
- Overall Effectiveness
- Effectiveness of Leadership and Management
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Personal development, behaviour and welfare
- Outcomes for Pupils
- Effectiveness of the Early years Provision

The areas for improvement then become actions on the School Improvement Plan.
