HEADTEACHER WELCOME

Message from our Head Teacher

Welcome to Haydonleigh Primary School’s website and to a school where ‘I am talented, together we are amazing’ underpins our philosophy.

We provide a secure and happy environment where the work is varied and challenging and every child and adult is valued. We set the children and ourselves high standards to enable every child to develop his or her potential to the full and become confident learners.

All parents are very welcome at Haydonleigh, and we see home and school working together as very important for your child.

Our website will give you a flavour of our school’s aims, the activities that the children are involved in, the achievements that we have gained and the wealth of memorable experiences that the children encounter.

I hope you enjoy the website and if you'd like to visit the school, please do not hesitate to contact me.

About Us

Welcome to Haydonleigh Primary School’s website! We hope that you agree it is packed with useful information for anyone who wishes to find out more about wonderful school. Here you will find important details about Haydonleigh Primary, including admissions information, the curriculum, school uniform, calendar events and newsletters.

Our school motto, ‘I am talented, together we are amazing!’ gives you a flavour of our school’s aims. At Haydonleigh, our united vision was created by our pupils, parents and staff alike. Our school is committed to working in partnership to ensure every child achieves their best.

Opened in 1995, Haydonleigh Primary serves the local community as a dynamic and exciting place to be! Our school is much larger than the average-sized primary. We are growing into a three-form entry school with a capacity of 630 children, made up of 90 pupils in each year group. Following the housing expansion of North Swindon, a new extension was opened in 2014, offering 15 classrooms, dance studio and purpose-built Early Years nest. By 2018, we anticipate reaching our full capacity, with a total of 21 classes.  Our grounds boast playfields, allotment beds, a pond, wooded area, cycle shelters, fitness trails and even our own theatre!

High expectations in learning and behaviour are maintained throughout our school. We believe that learning should be active, so our staff and governors work hard to ensure each child is offered a varied and exciting curriculum, whatever their ability. We pride ourselves on providing our children with a stimulating education. We communicate many of the fantastic things that happen at our school through our social media sites.

We hope you enjoy visiting our website. We love feedback, so don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any comments!
